President
Chantalle Elliott
Chantalle has been involved with RTR Spay and Neuter since its 2023 launch. As Board President, she brings over 15 years of business ownership across Canada and Roatán. Raised in an entrepreneurial family, Chantalle provides administrative expertise with a passion for organization and budgeting, ensuring the clinic’s long-term sustainability.
A lifelong advocate with a soft spot for pit bulls, she merges her professional background with a love for Roatán’s families. Whether streamlining operations or coordinating with international veterinary teams, Chantalle is dedicated to high-quality care for the island’s most beloved four-legged family members.

Vice President
Kimberly Gow
As one of the first formally trained medical responders to the crisis of abandoned rescue, transitioning to the RTR Spay and Neuter Clinic is a natural progression for Kimberly. A Canadian-trained Veterinary Technician with 29 years of experience, Kimberly also brings a background as a successful business owner and marketing professional.
With 17 years of experience as a union executive board member, and instructor Kimberly offers extensive expertise in operations, volunteer coordination, event planning, teaching and fundraising. Kimberly leverages these diverse skills and strong leadership to support RTR’s mission and ensure the highest standard of care for the community.

Secratary
Liza Normandy
Liza is a dedicated advocate for our island animals in need. Her background in rescue and fostering combined with leadership skills is the perfect mix to serve on the RTR ONG Board. She started as a clinic volunteer back in 2023 and (now) moving into a leadership role as Secretary, shows she’s really seen the work from the ground up.
She is proud to serve alongside a team of leaders who share her passion for making spay and neuter services accessible to all - at no cost.

Treasurer
Nicole Persson
Nicole grew up on a small ranch instilling a deep compassion for animals and she brings this to her treasurer role with RTR. For years, she volunteered with the original RTR mission of rescuing abandoned animals and finding them a forever home.
With over 20 years of experience running her own successful business, Nicole offers strong financial oversight, strategic planning, and operational expertise to support RTR’s important work. Her commitment to the well-being of animals and her proven ability to manage resources make her a valuable asset in furthering RTR’s mission of compassionate care and community impact.

Fiscal
Darian Benitez
Darien's love for animals blossomed when she was just a child, at the age of seven, when she welcomed her first dog into my life. As she grew up, surrounded by dogs and cats, the passion of caring for them only deepened. She has always believed that they are our protectors, but we are their voice, standing as their advocates when they cannot speak, ensuring their well being.
This love has grown alongside her, and with each passing year, it has only deepened. Darien finds comfort and purpose in knowing that they are safe, loved, and heard, And with the RTR family team, she feels at ease knowing we are there for them!

Claire Staffa
With 25 years of dedicated service to animal welfare agencies, Claire brings a wealth of experience and a deep-seated passion for animal advocacy to the RTR Spay and Neuter Clinic. As Vocal I, she expertly bridges the gap between administrative strategy and hands-on impact.
By combining professional expertise in fundraising, volunteer coordination, and clinic operations, she ensures the organization remains sustainable and efficient. Driven by a lifelong love for animals, she is committed to expanding access to no-cost spay and neuter, strengthening the bond between pets and their families in our community.

Vocal II
Sandy Kozak
Sandy’s lifelong passion for animals began growing up on a farm, where their care and wellbeing were central to daily life. She has been a dedicated animal advocate ever since.
Since 2018, she has been actively involved in Roatan’s animal welfare community, volunteering at clinics, supporting spay and neuter initiatives, and promoting education on responsible animal care. She has also assisted in rescuing animals and coordinating their transport to Canada for adoption. Sandy’s compassion, experience, and commitment make her a valuable asset to the Board.

Mallory Dean
With more than 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Mallory Dean has built her career in emergency and specialty practice, including oncology, ultrasound, surgery, and critical patient care. Throughout her career, She has held leadership roles managing emergency and urgent care veterinary teams while focusing on patient care, staff development, and operational excellence.
Since joining RTR Spay & Neuter in 2023, she has participated in more than five veterinary outreach missions to the Bay Islands, providing essential medical care to underserved animal populations. As Medical Director of Roatan Animal Support, Inc. Dba: RTR Spay and Neuter. Mallory is committed to advancing access to veterinary care through sustainable, high-volume spay and neuter programs.
In May 2026, she successfully led her first independent campaign, during which her team spayed and neutered 526 animals in just three days, creating a lasting impact on animal welfare in the community.
