The energy is still electric here at RTR Spay and Neuter! We recently wrapped up our multi-day May clinic, and thanks to an unstoppable team of international veterinary brigades, local partners, and rock-star volunteers, we achieved something truly historic.

Together, we performed a staggering 526 life-changing spay and neuter surgeries across the islands!

Our journey kicked off on May 26th with an incredible, high-velocity day of surgeries in Utila. From there, the team caught their breath and jumped right into two massive, non-stop days on May 27th and 28th at Gravel Bay on Roatán.

Here are just a few of the beautiful faces of the community from May's Clinic. ❤️

If you’ve ever been to an RTR clinic, you know the rhythm. It’s a beautifully choreographed dance of pure compassion. Long before the sun peaks over the horizon, our teams are setting up, prep stations are buzzing, and local families are lining up with their beloved pets. Many of these animals have never seen a veterinarian in their lives. By providing these surgeries entirely free of charge, we aren't just preventing thousands of future street animals from suffering—we are actively lifting up our whole community.

An impact this massive doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes an island! We are endlessly grateful to our phenomenal clinical hosts, our dedicated international veterinary teams who flew in to donate their time and world-class expertise, and every single volunteer who stayed late to clean the kennels, soothe waking puppies, and keep the logistics moving smoothly.

526 animals are going home to healthier, happier, safer lives.

The momentum is real, the community is engaged, and we are just getting started!

🌟 Eyes on the Horizon: September 2026!

If there’s one thing about the RTR family, it’s that we never slow down when there is good work to be done. Lasting, sustainable change requires continuous momentum. That is why planning is officially underway for our next major clinic this September!

By maintaining our biannual rhythm, we can get ahead of breeding cycles, support local pet owners, and build a brighter, kinder future for Roatán. We are already mapping out high-need areas, coordinating with incoming veterinary teams, and locking in logistics.
