Three days and two islands later. Every muscle aches, and the exhaustion settles deep into our bones, but it is the absolute best kind of tired.
After months of non-stop coordination, helping manage a million moving parts, and pouring every ounce of energy into this clinic, the quiet aftermath brings a sense of relief and pride. It’s a bone-deep fatigue, but it’s fueled by our hearts are full and the knowledge that we all just made a massive difference.
The charts are filed, the recovery cages are empty, and the sheer number (526 to be exact) animals now living safer, healthier lives makes every second of the chaotic grind entirely worth it. Which also means that 18,936 babies will not be born into underprivileged areas in the bay islands in the next 365 days!!! We can't thank everyone enough.
